I'm a Second Amendment absolutist. I'm someone who believes in the unbridled and unalienable right to bear arms as enshrined in the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution. I view gun ownership as an essential component of individual freedom and self-defense. Any attempt to restrict gun ownership infringes upon our constitutional rights and undermines the ability of law-abiding citizens to protect themselves and their property. Everyone has a right to self defense and I strongly believe that firearms are for all Americans regardless of political affiliation, social status, race, religion, or income.

I believe that gun ownership is a right. Those of us who whish to exercise that right have a responsibility to our families and our communities. Those responsibilities include making sure that we are trained in the safe handling and manipulation of our firearms, keeping the firearms secured, or stored safely and out of the hands of unauthorized individuals and criminals, and knowing the law. While I reject the notion that the government has the authority to dictate how our firearms are handled and stored in our houses, I wholeheartedly believe we each have a responsibility to keep our children and loved ones safe. Train and practice regularly, keep your firearms secure, and be an advocate for the second amendment community.
